History of Killer Spoons and Revenge of the Forks

In 1992 Scott Rinehart and Brady Speers were bored as college students at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. With dad's video camera in hand, Brady decided something video based had to be done.

Attack of the Killer Spoons was the result and you can view it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKZbsbRYvEk&feature=share&list=PL41E4D98B58FA682E

Starting around midmight, the two collaborated for the next 6 hours on what would become an 8 minute horror classic born out of boredom.

With no iphones, digital cameras or digital software in hand Spoons took honest creativty, some silly use of props and viewer imagination. Yet, 20 years later it's a YouTube sensation with nearly 200 views.

In 2007, during "Fellas Weekend", the likes of Brady, Scott, Clint Locks, Ralph Jensen, Dave Curlee, David Tercek, Matt Sherman, Michael Harris, Greg Hightower and a few other faces launched on a rendition of a new horror classic to pay homage to Spoons, called Revenge of the Forks. Using the same creative approach and limited technology, the gang created what will certainly become the next YouTube sensation.

The film was completed in the fall of 2012, just a tad behind schedule. It debuts next week.
