Saturday night we headed out to Waco with some friends of the opposing team and watched Baylor take on Sam Houston State. Floyd Casey Stadium is very old and a place I saw some games myself back in the 80s and again at school there in the 90s. But this was the kids first real football game of significance.
They loved it, up until the 3rd quarter when it was getting late and the boredom factor kicked in. The bands, cheerleaders, and Bear could only do so much.
It was a close game and Baylor sneaked out a close one, but years from now I hope they will remember it like I did with my dad.
Fun times.
